They used to test NYCT cars on LIRR and Metro-North."The only operation of subway cars on what's now Metro-North that I've heard of was the introduction of the R32s with a run between Mott Haven Yard and Grand Central, on what was then the New York Central. I've heard that the higher voltage ruined the R32s' motors. |
