We don't want or need it, at least not to the level that it should have not been eliminated. However, the truncation of the Jamaica Ave. el at Queens Blvd a year after Woodhaven closed probably would have increased patronage slightly, since there was no real subway/LIRR connection anymore in Jamaica. But that was rendered unimportant after the Archer Ave. line opened 11 years later. |
