3d rail to Montauk?? Never to be seen in our lifetimes. 3d rail to Pt Jeff should be a priority.
What the Montauk branch needs is more passing sidings to allow more traffic. That coupled with an ad campaign to get folks out of their cars and back to the iron horse. The traffic on rt 27/39 is at capacity and strangling local communities
