From the research I've done so far, I get the overwhelming impression that Christie was pissed with Hizzoner in Fort Lee, and was probably very vocal about it. I think he obliquely hinted to his staff that he wanted the man dealt with, and Ms. Thing decided it would be a good way to curry favor with her boss. But even if she cooked up the whole thing with Wildstein and Christie had no idea what was going on, he's still the captain of the ship.However, Christie is known to be a bully, and it wouldn't surprise me to discover that he'd set this all up by himself. Like I said in an earlier post, tomorrow's hearings are going to be gourmet popcorn-worthy entertainment. |
