The kicker in this whole sorry story is, Christie was ALREADY a shoo-in by September, when he closed the bridge. He didn't need the endorsement of Fort Lee's Democratic mayor to win re-election. He was looking for "bi-partisan support" to impress the national GOP in his bid to run for President.This little act of political bullying might not just cost him his office, but could well see him taking up long-term residence at Allenwood, before it's all over. |
