Well, yeah, I guess it could be "more multicultural" since you're comparing an entire state vs. either 2 or 4 counties. If you want be get technical and include Queens and Brooklyn in the definition of "Long Island" then of course we all know how multicultural those places are. If we just look at Nassau and Suffolk, they are now quite multicultural.
