No President ever did. Protesting an election result that degenerated into a full out riot , marred by a few hundred assholes who stormed the capital is not the same as an attempt to overthrow our government. Disruption? Yes. Overthrow? NO. It would take a hell of a lot more with weapons to try and do that. Those who got caught paid dearly with their freedom, as well they should have.
BTW I haven't heard of any of the rioters get convicted of insurrection
