Oh, you're talking about SS disability. I thought you meant SS retirement benefits.

My wife was a SS disability administrative law judge for about 18 months. These judges heard appeals from people who were denied benefits. She told me that a good percentage of these appeals were from people who were fraudulently claiming a disability.

Don't believe anyone who claims they're receiving SS disability payments unless you've seen the checks. It is VERY difficult to qualify.
