SSD staff are, in fact, trained to deny as many claims as they can. As I stated before, I've known amputees, paraplegics, and severely bariatric patients whose initial claims for disability, were summarily denied. All of them had to hire lawyers to get approved.Denial is, a number of people have told me, the default position at SSI/SSD. The only claims likely to be approved on the first attempt, are life-support patients (such as those receiving kidney dialysis), or people suffering from major mental illnesses. |
