More and more Staten Islanders work in Jersey City or Hoboken as banks and brokerage firms relocate jobs out of Manhattan to those NJ cities. An express route as always made more sense to me because of the length of the commute. Years ago a private company ran the "144" along Hylan to Jersey City, since then many more Staten Islanders have taken jobs in Jersey City. |
