Operators are forbidden to display anything except the route they are working and Not in Service/Next Bus Please signs. This directive was issued when the Yankees and Mets were in the subway series in 2000. Operators in all the boroughs were displaying BX6 Yankee Stadiums signs.Because of the situation this week I have been only giving verbal warnings to the operators, but last night I did write a operator up for it because I caught him pulling in off route. Many operators do this anyway and I normally just warn them, but after two warnings I give them a violation. Once I caught an operator with a Not in Service displayed while in service and I wrote him up for that. Favorite signs are usually a Evacuation Center and Training Bus. |
