I know everyone has seen what has transpired between myself and that terrapin person. I allowed myself to get sucked it. I am not usually like that. I have been an observer on this site for years, and only participate because I consider it to be THE authority. I suffer from deep depression and have trouble filtering out the dirt sometimes. I still think something needs to be done. That person is obviously suffering and unable to be a part of an internet society. |

I would imagine other Zephyr trainsets were cannibalized to keep the others running on the shuttle.In the case of the R110B parts were already cannibalized as one set was stripped to keep the 2 units intact to run mid-days on the C. |

It's good for all the newbies here to see who all the idiots are, and it's good for all the old timers to be reminded in case they've forgotten. Obviously the ideal would be to simply ban people like this, but since that type of Moderation doesn't exist here, we'll have to make do with periodically exposing them for the idiots/assholes that they are. And they do it all on their own. All you have to do is ever so gently allude to their idiotic ways by pointing out so etching they've done or said and then they fly off the handle. Works like a charm :) |

Context first and foremost, along with years of experience of reading these people's posts, makes me confident in my two conclusions you referenced. Train Dude was playing with Dan Lawrence. It's obvious he's never been the station called "76 Street" that is fabled in lore. So it's obvious he was referring to something else called "76 Street". How can you disagree with that? As for Selkook's statement, if you read up the subthread, they are all referring to me and their incorrect description of, and conclusions about, my behavior on this website, i.e. not physical violence. I am a railfan. Randyo however started talking about violence. I, and most other railfans, are not violent, and when railroaders normally complain about railfans, they are not complaining about their violence (because they aren't violent). As such, it seems entirely logical and reasonable that Selkirk WAS talking about non-violent annoyances in the comment he made. |
