Context first and foremost, along with years of experience of reading these people's posts, makes me confident in my two conclusions you referenced. Train Dude was playing with Dan Lawrence. It's obvious he's never been the station called "76 Street" that is fabled in lore. So it's obvious he was referring to something else called "76 Street". How can you disagree with that? As for Selkook's statement, if you read up the subthread, they are all referring to me and their incorrect description of, and conclusions about, my behavior on this website, i.e. not physical violence. I am a railfan. Randyo however started talking about violence. I, and most other railfans, are not violent, and when railroaders normally complain about railfans, they are not complaining about their violence (because they aren't violent). As such, it seems entirely logical and reasonable that Selkirk WAS talking about non-violent annoyances in the comment he made. |
