I remember seeing 6-car Ethel trains on Saturdays in the fall of 1967. After Chrystie St., when the R-32s took over base service on the AA, AAs were four cars on Saturdays. As Christmas approached, they grew to eight cars while Abbott and Ethel trains were 10 cars. |

Once the 142/142-As arrived, and the 4s 62s went over to the 3, they started running 10 cars (2 5-car unitized sets).Of course, the 62A singles went to the 7 where they remain (for now). |
