Posted by The Flxible Neofan on Mon Nov 9 20:43:20 2009 Just wanted to share pictures of the SEPTA R7 Trenton Line's Eddington Station!  One would almost never think that this station was open. There's barely a platform! (Apparently, years of grime, dirt, and gravel covered the little platform that existed). As you can see, there's a track between the shelter and the main NEC tracks. Yes, passengers step over these tracks to board all trains (similar to stations further down the line). Those other tracks carry CSX trains, which include this engine:  I dunno what was going on - the engine was just sitting there with the engineers inside. Nonetheless, I hope that Eddington as well as other stations on the R7 Trenton line get overhauled sometime soon. We likely have the worst stations on the entire Northeast Corridor! |
