Jamaica can only handle so many transferees. When ESA opens, it'll be an even more important transfer point. Every passenger a diesel takes to HPA/LIC is less stress on both the Jamaica station and the Manhattan-bound trains. Don't underestimate the numbers who use these diesels, especially from HPA. That platform can get quite crowded in the PM rush. |
