The MTA really can't do much to reasonably accommodate the residents until that very distant day when LIC is either electrified or closed.Hunterspoint Ave is the terminal for many diesel runs to and from Eastern Long Island. As long as there is diesel service on the island, the need for LIC will be there. It's not a matter of "electrifying" to LIC....LIC already has electrification, if I am not mistaken. |
