I don't understand why they are chopping away at the new concrete where the new wrought iron fencing once stood. Unless the steel members holding up the concrete walkway have deteriorated so bad that may the whole concrete walk is being replaced ?Or maybe they are decking over the open space over the express tracks as once talked about in the late 60's, thus giving the plaza a more open feel to it. Yes that would ruin some nice shots buy NYCT isn't thing along those lines. Is there a link to a MTA Capital program related to Newkirk Plaza rehab ? Bill "Newkirk" |
