The greatest dispatcher in the world can't do much if there are no crossovers, no pockets, and all sorts of rules that prevent wrong-railing, unless you know something we don't.The elimination of the turnback track at 72nd Street could prove to be a very big deal in the long run. We obviously don't know yet (and you don't either, if you can get a grasp on the concept of not knowing everything), but generally, less flexibility in how the railroad can be run is NOT a good thing. |
