A woman had been given a ticket for being on a train only minutes (they didn't say how many) after her ticket expired. The judge called it a blatant misuse of the ticketing process.From what I've seen on HBLR and RiverLINE, the people will hang around the station area and ask customers leaving the train station if they have tickets so they can get a free ride. From my experiences, I've seen quite a few people get on the light rail that way and it's sucessful since the majority of the tickets are validated in time, and if they're not, the inspectors end up making them get another one at the next stop. |
