I had an interesting experience on Newark Light rail. I purchased and validated a ticket at Penn Sta for a ride to Broad St. When I got off there, an inspector about a car length away from me on the platform asked if I had a ticket. I showed it to him from that distance and he just waved an OK without even checking to see if it was still valid. When I arrived back at Penn Sta, I noticed that the ink stamp on the ticket was so faint that it was unreadable so I reinserted the ticket and got it stamped with a new time which totally obscured the original and was good for a trip along the City Subway and back. |
