Ticket holds: About the same as in Comet VOddity: Exit windows for emergencies are labeled on the outside - and different cars had different numbers of labeled windows. Maybe they're experimenting with those. Reason for double vestibules: one of the two on each end is for embarking and alighting at low platforms (rarely necessary on the NEC, which is all-high-platform on NJT). The other is apparently to replace the middle door at busy stations. Seats have movable armrests in the aisle side (but no "reading lamps", and downstairs has no luggage racks). Garbage cans have a snazzy design and so do the lights. Try not to bump your head standing up and sitting down. |
