East New York, which I used often, and is at least at the surface, and at least somewhat open, always has a police car there when trains come in parked between the Atlantic Ave L station and the ENY LIRR platforms, probably to make people more at ease, and also to discourage people up to no good. And of course ENY's ridership warrants that, as opposed to Woodhaven station who's ridership was next to nothing anyway. |
