Broadway Junction is one location that I always recommend to the out-of-town railfan. It should be a buff's "Mecca" as it has more trains running at different levels and the trackage setups than any other location in the system. It almost resembles one of those intertwining interstate highway junctions.

One of my long-range HO-scale plans to to model a portion of the Broadway Junction area as a diorama....I would have an elevated section representing the Canarsie line; a cut beneath it represeinting the Bay Ridge frieght line; and finally the Atlantic branch running almost at street grade about the freight line, crossing it at a right angle....one day...just gotta find the time to do it...
