This wasn't really a bad neighborhood when the station was closed. The fear was probably unjustified. The station served no purpose in that era. Today, downtown Brooklyn is a more desirable destination. I think people would actually use this station today. It'd also be a godsend to Woodhaven if there was ever another subway strike. |
