I agree-- we need to compare today with pre-2020 service levels. Based on the number of cars I see in the Baldwin LIRR lots on a routine basis, they can't possibly be running more service than pre-2020 because the demand simply isn't there. The lots used to be close to full almost every day, but these days are not even close to being full. East Side Access was built for a time that has come and gone. Certainly it's useful, especially if emergency reroutes are necessary, but it came at great cost. |
