All R211S units for Staten have been built, yet most units still await delivery to Staten Island. The first two sets (10 cars #100-109) are on Staten Railway Property, while the remaining cars are all at Yonkers awaiting delivery. They sure have quite a backlog of cars waiting for shipment.The pilot set, #100-104, must pass its 30-day acceptance test before any other sets go into service. It has re-entered service after working out some computer issues, the primary issue being an Electromagnetic Interference Problem with the cab signaling system. |
