Yeah, that was what I was getting at. Joe Korman's website has the GO for closing the line. Apparently, only a few runs (about a week's worth) of work trains were allowed s/w of Broadway after 10/4/69.I guess they were interested in getting it ripped down quickly... Really terrible. It left a major hole in the network. I can think of times where I might have used it. |
