The MTA always knew which areas of the city were politically impotent.Maybe because of this, the 3rd Av el, pre-mature demolition of the Jamacia el decimating ridership on the whole line, threatening to kill east of ENY or Crescent Street, RPA's plans in the 1980's to tear down els all over the city that got press coverage, and years of distrust of MTA in general, people were on-guard for the Franklin shuttle. |
