East of Riverhead...maybe. That trackage out there is in terrable shape. Would take serious $$$ to upgrade it to 21st century standards
Not that many slices left in the pie for that.

Abandon Hamptons to Montauk? Can't see it. Those trains are packed in the summer. Nobody would want more traffic on Rt 27. which on certain Fridays starts backing up at the Shinnecock Canal.
