It wasn't mean-spirited but some people are just overly sensitive and these "Have you checked Google?" posts seem to rub them the wrong way. I agree 100%. Thank you. And note that I would only post such a response to someone who has a history of both: 1. Asking questions that have answers that are easily found on NYCSubway.org, this site, or via a Google search; and 2. Ignoring us (or lashing out) when, after answering their question, we tell them how we found it and how they could do it themselves in the future. I would not respond that way to someone who is relatively new here and/or has no history of doing the above two things. |
