You're confusing Trump with a non-existing general trend.Every candidate except Trump in the last 148 years has accepted the certifications of the individual secretaries of state, as modified (e.g., 2000) by the state and federal court systems. I don't expect 2024 to be any different. If, for example, Trump wins the electoral vote and loses the popular vote, lots of Democrats will say this is unfair, but they won't say that Trump wasn't actually elected. You may also get some individual denialism of state results, like the handful of Democrats who said that Ohio was rigged in 2004. But the Democratic candidate, if he or she chooses to challenge any results, will accept the decisions of the courts. Trump, of course, will not accept his loss, if it should occur, and will keep on screaming denial even after he is convicted of his various offenses. |

Olag, Trump can be a real blowhard always bragging how successful he is and is full of self praise. Rarely does he show a modest side and pokes a little fun a himself. That in my opinion can play well with the suburban women who turned thumbs down on him in 2020 and even in 2016, though less so. He can be tough and resolute but an occasional rib at his own expense plays well. For many voters likeability is very important and it didn't help in 2020 with a decent economy many voters went for a guy who hasn't been successful in anything he has tried in his 50 years on the public payroll. |
