Heres the deal with giving 16yo's the vote. At 16 your brain isin't fully developed. That said, those deer in the headlights impressionable kids who can get their heads out of their Iphones have an idealistic view of the world & can go out and change the world for the better. Everything is wrong & everybody in power is wrong & just don't get it. We have to elect someone who agrees with changing the world to what we think is better. The future of our world and seashores depends on change.Basically its a left mentality which the Dems want & to bring into the fold and vote for our guy/gal. Funny, to coin a phrase, what goes around comes around. Thats the same mindset going around when I was 16. ("Say you want a revolution?...") The only thing different is back then, It was end the war |

There's a lot of people who only show up to Presidential elections, a well documented phenomena. Combine that with "my vote doesn't matter anyway" and you get lower than natural R turnout in sure-blue states, and lower than natural D turnout in sure-red states. |

My point is that for every person like you who didn't bother to vote Republican, there could have been (and probably was) a person who didn't bother to vote Democratic.I'm kindof agreeing with you on this. Except, considering the blue states skew high population, and red ones skew low population, the number of D voters in red states is dwarfed by the number of R voters in blue ones. If you double the number of Clinton voters in 2016 in North Dakota, and give Trump only 10% more voters in NY, he still gains more votes were the electoral college eliminated. |
