No one says their free speech rights are being infringed. The government may even record the faces of participants in demonstrations, and they often do. The FOPA needs to be repealed. If people knew for a fact that their guns were traceable back to them, with legal responsibility attached, they wouldn't play so fast and loose with their guns. |

Of course having a GOOD education is an important key to this, but they dumb down the education system so that everybody can pass. It is not fair to leave people behind, so pass them even if they do not know shit. Push them further and further down, why don't you. THAT is NOT going to help. LION would eliminate Government Student Loans. They cripple young people right from the get go. If they can not get a loan from their banker, and their banker will know if they are an acceptable risk or not, then they need other sorts of education. LION would extend public education (although not free public education) through grade 16. Some will not take it. Others will. There is plenty of classroom space in each and every community across the country. Just use the sames school buildings and run 13-16 classes between 3PM and 11PM. This way some young people may get some work in while they study. I always worked along with my studies, and never went to college "Full Time". And an advantage to this system is that students could still live at home, cutting out the costs for room and board. They would still be required to pay the tuition, perhaps $35 to $50 per credit. EASY! But no, Loan them money that they will never re-pay, let them party all semester, While universities build bigger, fancyier and more expensive buildings, and pay the university president more than the US president. There is much that can be done, but I think the Federal Government has outlived its usefulness. ROAR |

When it comes to fundamental rights, if the government can show that they have a compelling purpose for passing a law, and the law is necessary to effectuate this compelling purposes, as well as narrowly tailored so that it accomplishes this purpose in the least restrictive means, SCOTUS will generally uphold the infringement on the right. On the other hand, if the government cannot meet this high burden, the Court will rule that the law is unconstitutional. In DC v. Heller, Justice Scalia writing for the majority explicitly stated: “Like most rights, the right secured by the Second Amendment is not unlimited." Meaning that it CAN be infringed. |
