It was intended to slow the rise in health care costs -- it has largely done so thus far (work in progress). All of the above while preserving the capitalist basis of health insurance, based on a conservative plan invented by the Heritage Foundation and originally implemented by Mitt Romney. Just how do you define failure? |

Look at the staffing, too. The only shortages were in the area of customer service. As for care. I had a friend who had his prostate cancer diagnosed late at the VA. Maybe his fault - maybe theirs but I went to see him at the Northport VA hospital Hospice shortly before he passed in August and it was a depressing place with seemingly indifferent staffing. Single payer, my ass! |

Then it gets modified in order to attract more votes and the enacted bill no longer does x, y, and z. But there are still videos of the supporters saying that it does.I was once peripherally associated with a similar situation in a contract negotiation. My employer proposed x, y, and z but the buyer didn't want to pay. So they weren't in the final details. But then a year after signing the buyer started saying, hey, where are x, y, and z? |
