"Why not just the ones who have no coverage?"Exactly. Expand Medicare and Medicaid for those who can't get coverage from profit-making insurers. I would buy that. But the Grumpy Old Party would not. Maybe you forget, but a major part of Obamacare was expanding Medicaid, which the various GOP governors have largely refused to implement. 'Splain that, Lucy. As for the VA, yes, there is a backlog, due mostly to insufficient funding from Congress. But I personally know VA doctors and I know that the actual care given by the VA is first-rate. |
