The CBO is saying supply will be reduced. You and others who don't seem to understand the difference between supply and demand say demand is being reduced. |

It's not for high traffic times, there are only 7 full time positions (probably managerial). The rest are all part timers because they don't want to do all the requirements for full time workers. |

Wrong. It's retail. They only hire staff necessary to manage and handle basic operations. Part timers are added to meet peak demand times. There is *nothing* in the least unusual about any of this, and ACA has *nothing* to do with it.LOL!! So there are only 7 employees at a big store at a time (including management, and allowing for 5 day weeks for those 7 full time employees. The other 83 employees (part time) are only there Christmas/peak season....LOL. |

That was in response to someone who said both articles were correct, and the accusation that it was someone on the right that labeled the NYT article false....and the accusation that the "right wing nuts" don't read the whole article, but it was an extreme leftist that labeled it "false"....and then posted an op-ed from the same source that he liked better because it said what he wanted. |

That is the environment the left has created.Government has provided incentives for companies to hire part-time workers instead of full-time for decades. One big incentive was ERISA, signed by President Ford, which says you can exclude part-timers from your pension plan. Have you ever wondered why your dental hygienist is only there part time? It may be unfair, but it's not new and it's bipartisan. |
