It goes well beyond what I've said previously. Since the full weight of obamacare has not landed yet on the neck of the US economy, one cannot accurately model the full economic effects on the US. Those economists of the liberal persuasion, therefore just choose to omit it from the equation. The others, know that there will be Macro-Economic implications to obamacare that will likely lead to significant damage to the US economy. I suspect that even those on the left can see this but are so politically invested in obamacare that they are willing to suffer the consequences down the road. |

Many still provide goods and services, which require various skill levels of labor. It is in the business' interest to ensure they have a healthy capable labor supply. In economically stressed times such as the present we may see an increase in part time work, but that is simply a reaction to lower demand, and those employees will find their hours increased as economic stability returns. None of this has much if any bearing on benefit packages. If many receive subsidies for purchasing insurance now, bear in mind that will less likely be the case in a robust economy. May President Hillary Clinton bring us one. Basically, your thinking is stagnant. |

If so then you have to admit that with less people insured today than a year ago, it certainly has not fulfilled its promise. But yes - it's your thinking that's stagnant because the solution did not have to be so invasive. But what you fail to acknowledge is that this was not about healthcare. This was about the president's goal of "fundamentally changing this country." He's now done that and not for the better. Those of us who understand, worry what sort of America our grand children will grow up in. Of course, you selfishly do not care as you have nothing to lose. |

The original BBS, "Friends & Lovers BBS" continued to do just fine after we did to "Doctor" Benavraham and her false accusations right up until the internet took off and folks decided to go there instead of any of the old BBS's. We kept it going for two additional years after that shift because it had a dedicated phone number.THEN we moved out of that apartment, having purchased a home in Voorheesville and decided not to move the phone line because there just weren't enough calls on a daily basis to justify paying NYTEL to pull in a fourth phone line for that since we needed the entire horsecock for business lines for our business. And so, when we moved, the BBS wasn't restarted in the new location. So ... for the record, are you still on AOL? :) |
