Wrong. The 911 operator said that they did not "need" Mr. Zimmerman to follow Trevon Martin. He was under no legal obligation to heed the suggestion of the 911 operator.

Wrong: So far, it's been shown that Trevon Martin was the aggressor in the confrontation.

Wrong: The only evidence shown by the prosecution so far has not proven their case. In fact, it's made a strong affirmative case for self defense on the part of George Zimmerman.

You were wrong about Kermit Gosnell. You've not improved your knowledge of the legal system since.

Exactly. Nobody would have died that night if he had. THAT is why he's on trial.

The act of making the choice to, against law enforcement advice, and then getting out of his truck and pursuing Mr Martin to his end is the criminal act. There was no need to pick a fight with this kid.

Do realize that Mr Martin had every right to be there. Therefore HE ASLO had the right to "stand his ground" against someone whose motives were unknown, some stranger chasing him in a truck and then on foot.

The article has to do with Florida's LACK of appropriate law. This is going to be for the jury to decide. I doubt they think pursuit of a peaceful individual while armed is appropriate behavior.

Leaving the truck and taking the gun were conscious choices Zimmerman made.

Yes he IS charged with manslaughter. There are IIRC 30 charges involved. They are trying for a murder conviction, but will likely get a manslaughter conviction. It's still a felony, Zimmerman will do time and never be able to get a legal gun again. That is the best possible outcome as I see it.

He's not going to walk. The issue for Zimmerman is how long he sits in prison.

You're not paying attention. ALL charges are brought to trial. They have to be. I know what the internet says, but the reality is the jury can return with a manslaughter conviction as well as convictions on a slew of lesser charges. I'd bet there's a parking violation in there somewhere as well. But I believe they want a felony conviction if not for murder, then for something resulting in prison time.
