It's not natural to talk to your parents in detail about sex. What an ignorant statement. It happens to be most natural to talk with your parents about sex. Unfortunately, the shame is that not enough kids and their parents do. I remember the extent of my father talking to me about sex was one question. "So...did you get laid yet?" When I was about 15/16. Granted that was in 1970 and things have improved somewhat, but, most people still have a long way to go concerning their attitudes about sex. My mother? Even though she gave birth to SEVEN, children sex was never even mentioned. I remember when my parents were getting divorced, after 25 years, my father told me he had never seen my mother naked. My mother actually remembers when all her kids were conceived. So I gather my parents only had sex seven times. BTW, the only one of us that was "planned" was the youngest, in order to save the marriage, totally wrong reason. "He wanted it again last night, Cathleen. Did you do your duty, Bridgette". This was and still is many peoples mindset, sadly. |
