Certainly a lot of the "advice" you receive from friends as a teenager isn't natural. Had a girl once tell me that you couldn't get pregnant if you douched with Coca-Cola after sex. (She'd read a passage in The Virgin Suicides, which if she had read further, would have discovered was not true.) I knew better than that, but she chose to believe it.It's up to a teenager's parents or guardians to provide them with correct and safe information. That girl's parents were a bit hands-off in that department. |
