Are they based EXCLUSIVELY on one's GPA? Or almost exclusively? Who can stop them from giving Obama such honors?EXCLUSIVELY. There is absolutely no other criterion that qualifies one. There might be a criterion that disqualifies someone but no one without the threshold GPA or in the appropriate percentile group of the class is getting latin honors. Interesting that Harvard would verify that Obama graduated magna but not release the grades. Latin honors are printed on one's diploma. Grades are not. Grades are confidential. Releasing them without the student's permission is a violation of federal law. |
