I have read that Obama become more conscientious at Columbia.I'm sure he got good grades at Columbia and also good LSATs. Your points about the market are dead on. Harvard Law requires good coursework skills AND hard work to get through. They don't squander their admissions on people that they don't think can make it. Columbia might have given Obama some affirmative action points, but something about Obama's performance at Occidental must have been reasonably decent. It could simply be that when Obama says he was slacking off he means he wasn;t working up to his potential. Given that his potential was to ace Harvard Law School, that could have been pretty decent. maybe he's embarassed because he got a C or two due to slacking off. |
