If exiting from the left, you have to use it, however. I try to accommodate as much as possible with not dragging along but I still try to stay as close to the limit as possible and I wait until the last 1/2 mile or so to get into the left and then most drivers understand that I'm not trying to slow them down, and that I have to be in that lane to get off.Going west on the GCP for the JR is an example. I've been doing 50 all the way through on the right lane and then I have to go two lanes left and then just before the exit out of nowhere the speed limit changes to 40, (I end up at around 47 or 49), but I know I'm still slowing people down -- but only for a few seconds. I wish there was a sort of "I'm sorry" light I can put on behind me! |
