It's just that the classic "Jewish Deli" that you find in the US isn't very common or popular here. The food scene here is more influenced by Middle Eastern food - which makes sense I'd you consider that the majority of Israeli Jews are from the Middle East and North Africa, not Eastern Europe.As to my English - I was born in the US, though with an Israeli parent. I moved back to Israel as an adult, after having grown up and worked in the US for many years. subfan |
