The flag of the Islamic State represents a false ideology which serves to hijack a religion with millions of devoted followers. The Nazi symbol was pure evil. Many claim the flag of the Confederacy represents the subjugation of blacks. I would simply argue that the flag in question represents the founding of a nation with all the good and bad inherent in society. It seems an awfully narrow interpretation to support K on your premise. If that were a righteous cause then what exactly is a flag? Israel and the sympathy espoused by many for the plight of the Palestinians? The Union Jack representing all its history of colonialism and building of empires?
