If this business doesn't think its employees should receive a decent legal wage and are unwilling to make necessary compromises to stay in business, then they shouldn't be in business.

The world can live with one or three less fast food chains.

If the 1% wasn't so greedy as to make it impossible to live on the existing minimum wage, then there'd be no need to raise it. One cannot face rising costs for necessities like energy, rent and food without additional money coming in.
