Yet I've mentioned multiple times that it's offensive to say that you celebrate Passover by doing things that those who actually celebrate Passover would never do.

Yes, I've already dissected that argument here, among other places. Remember, I asked for a coherent reason for why it was offensive.

I stated that (1) It was Passover and (2) I intended to mark the occasion by eating a cheeseburger. You've harped on the specific word "celebrate" but you've failed to explain exactly how that's relevant.

Suppose I had said: "It is now Passover. I will acknowledge this fact by briefly imagining the concept of matzoh before eating a bacon cheeseburger on a regular bun." Would that be offensive?

Or alternatively, maybe you'd like to take a stab at the other question none of you seem able to answer. Suppose I had said: "It is now Passover. I will celebrate by attending a Seder in which milk and meat will be combined in a kitchen full of leavened goods, and at which the Passover story will be mocked in limerick form courtesy of a homemade Haggadah." Would that be offensive?
