I pretty much believe that the pilot or copliot of MH 370 committed mass murder. Do I have any evidence of this? No, absolutely none. My reason for my belief is that any other explanation of the event strikes me as even less likely. Am I being unreasonable? You're certainly jumping to conclusions with this belief. I don't see how it's analogous to religion though; we know that MH 370 existed, we know that it presumably crashed, we know that the limitations on human biology means it's likely everyone on board is dead at this point and we know that humans sometimes commit mass murder. You're jumping to conclusions about what did happen, but the possibility is certainly plausible; religion is claiming that everything we know about biology and physics and chemistry is wrong, it proposes the existence of a Superman figure that isn't even remotely plausible, and it claims the universe was created by said Superman figure— even though we know that our brains are predisposed to anthropomorphise and see the influence of human activity where there is none. |
