So because there were no telescopes with sufficient range before Copernicus, Aristotle's geocentrism was true back then, too?I understand Nilet to be saying that, if there is absolutely no evidence to support a statement, then science considers the statement to be false. There probably was some evidence to support heliocentrism before Copernicus, so even if I am understanding Nilet correctly you might be going too far. |
